One of the important objectives set out by HYTES-Helping Youth Through Educational Scholarships-is to promote and develop active, global citizenship at home. It is imperative that Canadians of all ages be aware of their ability and responsibility to effect change in our local, national and international communities.

In Canada, the education must involve developing ".key values and attitudes, knowledge and understanding, and skills and processes necessary. to become active and responsible citizens.
